Frustration

I just have to say that some doctors are cruel. I don't think they mean to be, but they are. Liz's normal doctor is great. We usually are only waiting 15-20 min total, and I never feel like he doesn't have time to answer questions. When she broke her arm, and was referred to someone else I knew that we wouldn't be as lucky. However, I didn't except to have to wait 3 hours without anything to entertain kids. There wasn't even one book or magazine for kids. I thought there would be something since broken bones and kids just go together. When we finally saw the doctor, he checked a few things then told us he didn't know if it was broken or not, but he put it in the cast to be on the safe side. Then he said that if we came back in 3 weeks, she would get it off whether it was broken or not.
Her appointment was this afternoon. Of course she has been counting down. She wants the cast off. She has been telling everyone the past few days that the cast would be gone, and she wouldn't itch anymore and could do the things that she hasn't been able to. This time I went prepared with a coloring book and crayons. We only had to wait 2 hours this time, but she was still really bored. The doctor came into our room, put up her new x-ray, and showed me where it was broken. Then said I'll see you in 2 weeks to take the cast off. Then he was out of the room before I had a chance to ask any questions. In fact, he left so fast I wasn't sure if we were really done, or if he just went to grab something else. Now I realize that he still had other patients, but give me a break. There should at least be a few minutes for everyone. At least Liz is being really great about it. She hasn't complained at all about having it on longer than what she was hoping for.
