Then we went up to visit my family, and go the the Steel Days activities in AF. Again there were the classics..another parade, a carnival, and a car show (something Cedar City lacks in). Since Liz did have her cousins to play with, including a sleepover with them (thanks Annaleise and Steven) she had so much fun.
Last week over the 24th, we were in Mesa Verde with Brad's family. He just loved every minute of it. He had Indian ruins, and his family around him, two of his favorite things.
Again it was so much fun. I have the greatest inlaws anyone could have. This trip was full of hiking, climbing ladders (including a 32 foot one), crawling through small tunnels,standing by the edge of cliffs, and other fun adventures like that. Every time I would look for Liz to make sure she was safe, I would notice that she was holding the hand of one of her many aunts or uncles It was like she had several sets of parents around, which made the vacation that much more enjoyable for me. This was the last day when we were packing up...I think Liz may have been ready to be home.
With all these traveling it's a good thing we have a reliable car (ha ha). Okay so it's more like it's a good thing we have wonderful family that doesn't mind driving about an hour at 10 at night to come rescue us when our car leaves us stranded.(Thanks Dad and Mom)
Somewhere in the middle of everything Brad and I had our anniversary. A part of me is amazed that its been so long, while another part can't remember what my life was like before I met him. It has been the best 7 years of my life so far, and I look forward to many more wonderful years with my amazing husband.
I think we only have 3 more things going on before I can successfully say that we made it through this summer. It's a good thing, because I'm getting tired of unpacking and washing the clothes just to put them right back into the suitcases.
